This committee will be in charge of finding new funding sources in addition to writing the grants for every event. These funding sources include other grants offered by UCLA, and finding sponsors to donate to the clinics hosted. The donations include, but are not limited to, supplies needed for every clinic such as shoes, medical equipment etc, and financial donations, advertisement. Will coordinate with Inventory Officer to figure out what is needed.
This committee’s main focus is maintaining good relations with the people who help us run the clinics. After every event, this committee will be in charge of creating thank you notes to give to those who helped with the clinic, either through donations or helping at the event itself. It will come up with creative/ different ways to thank the people involved with Happy Feet Clinic. It will also be in charge of making an invoice for all the supplies needed for the Thank you items, and turning them in to the coordinators. In addition to maintaining partnerships with sponsors/doctors, this committee will also be in charge of organizing club social that help the members better assimilate with each other and the club goals.
This committee will be in charge creating a report of supplies before and after every event. It will be responsible for reporting the total supplies available to the coordinators three/ four times per quarter. It will also be in charge of assessing what supplies are needed and the cost for the upcoming clinic,report the needs and cost to the coordinators, and then create/turn in an invoice of the needed supplies three weeks prior to the clinic date to the coordinators (PO officer). Will collaborate with the grant writer to secure funding for materials needed. Will print off invoices and calculate costs to give to PO officer.
This committee will be in charge of on/off campus fundraising. It will come up with new,efficient, and creative ways to raise money for the supplies needed. It will be responsible for calling local businesses to attain donations. For example, calling Hotels and getting towels, shampoo, soap, etc donated for the gift bags given to our clients.
This committee will be in charge of organizing the Campus Activities Fair Day. They will work with the coordinators to recruit new members Fall, and Spring Quarter, also help create applications for new recruits, and organize a schedule of interviews for applicants. They will also be responsible for creating flyers for recruitment, organize flyering on campus for events and for recruitment. They will work with the coordinators to maintain the attendance of medical students at each event.
This committee will be in charge of entering/maintaining data (Intake, Education survey forms) from clinics into an organized spreadsheet. It will be also responsible for coming up with the most organized way to maintain/ collect data that we will be collecting as a group at every event. It is also in charge of keeping all paperwork organized and safe in files, and maintain/update patient forms as necessary. Also, will be in charge of allocating all group members to a time slot to help enter data collected from each clinic to the data system.
This committee will be in charge of setting up clinic training for the new members. They will also overlook everything the education station is responsible. They are responsible for making creative, innovative educational materials. They will also have monthly assignments that will educate the members of Happy Feet Clinic about foot conditions, health, and precautions. It will be in charge of creating a topic for the end-of-the-year presentations that every continuing member will be responsible for. This duty includes picking a topic of research, creating a guideline for the presentation, and keeping the coordinators updated about the entire project.
